2024 Subaru Ascent Redesign, Dimensions, Release Date

2024 Subaru Ascent Redesign, Dimensions, Release Date – The Subaru Ascent was first previewed at the 2016 L.A. Auto Show by the Viziv- seven concept and again at the 2017 New York International Auto Show by the Ascent concept. Unfortunately, what started as an exciting concept in proper Subaru form has been neutered on its route to production. The Ascent looks better like a wagon than an SUV from some perspectives.

Since its launch, the Subaru Ascent has been a popular three-row SUV. It is a suitable vehicle for those who lead an active lifestyle. It comes with a standard all-wheel-drive and has a variety of features. But, with the advent of Subaru’s Wilderness trim level, the time to make this SUV even more robust is now.

Redesign of the Subaru Ascent 2024

The 2024 Subaru Ascent has remained constant in its proportions and style. The 8-exterior color trimmings include contrasts such as the Crystal White Pearl, Crimson Red Pearl, etc. In addition to these, all models have the same LED steering-responsive headlights.

The 2024 Subaru Ascent is classified as a midsize crossover SUV and measures up in size closely with the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander. The 3-row Subaru Ascent has a total length of 196.8 inches, a width of 76 inches, and a height of 71.4 inches. The SUV’s body is distributed over a 113.8-inch wheelbase, and all trim levels have a ground clearance of 8.7 inches, making this car ready for some off-road action. The curb weight ranges from 4,430 pounds for the base model to 4,603 pounds for the Touring.

Interior

Space is abundant in the interior for a large group, but the Volkswagen Atlas has a far more spacious third row. An elevated driving position and a wide range of seating options are typical of a large crossover’s interior. It’s a shame that only the most expensive models come with desirable extras like heated rear seats, a memory driver’s seat, power-adjustable passenger seats, and leather-trimmed upholstery.

Although the Ascent has enough room for eight passengers, we could only fit five carry-on bags behind the third row in our testing. The Subaru had fewer internal cubby storage than most competitors, but it worked one more occasional person than the Traverse did. Still, it’s a capable travel companion, thanks to some creative storage solutions. You can use Velcro straps to hold up the load floor if you need more space in the cargo compartment. The optional captain’s chairs in the two rows of our test vehicle can be adjusted with different levers and fold almost flat.

Engine

The 2.4L Turbo H-4 in the 2024 Subaru Ascent is good for 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. A standard symmetrical AWD is paired with a LinearTronic CVT for this powerplant. Also included in this AWD is an X-MODE feature for optimizing engine output and transmission ratio. The Subaru Ascent’s 4-wheel independent suspension keeps the wheels firmly planted regardless of the terrain. Active Torque Vectoring, which helps the car turn sharply and steer straight, is used with these dynamics.

This car will get 21 mpg in the city and 27 on the highway in the Ascent model. Those who opt for the top-tier Limited and Touring versions lose one mpg in both categories. Still, the EPA figures for the Ascent are above average, and our 200-mile real-world test validated the latter. The top-of-the-line Ascent Limited matched its EPA highway rating of 26 mpg on our route.

2024 Subaru Ascent Release Date and Price

However, you should know that the new Subaru Ascent’s price has not increased for the new model year and that used models may be found for a fraction of their price. Tax, registration, and a destination fee of $1,125 aren’t included in the base MSRP of $32,295. Premium costs $34,795, Onyx Edition costs $37,995, and Limited costs $39,595. The Onyx Edition is the most expensive at $37,995. The most expensive touring model costs $45,445.

While the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander have lower starting prices, the Subaru Ascent’s higher top-end prices make it an appealing alternative. The first 2024 Ascent at Planet Subaru should be delivered in 2024.
