New 2024 Subaru Forester Sport, Turbo, Price – The Subaru Forester 2024 is a crossover SUV that fits like a cross-trainer. It’s a large, safe mid-size five-seat wagon with standard all-wheel-drive that competes with the Ford Bronco Sport, Toyota RAV4, and Honda CR-V. The new front end has a more prominent grille and, on some models, free automatic emergency steering. The Wilderness trim level joins the base, Premium, Sport, Limited, and Touring editions in the Subaru lineup.
The Subaru Forester is an excellent SUV. It boasts good gas mileage, good handling, and a comfortable ride. It’s also better off-road than the majority of compact SUVs. The Forester looks fantastic on the inside. There are two rows of comfy seats and plenty of cargo space. The 2024 Forester is a finalist for our Best Compact SUV for the Money category because it has a better mix of quality and value than most of its competitors.
Subaru Forester 2024 Redesign
The Forester 2.5i has four trim levels: base, premium, limited, and tour. A tilting and telescoping steering reel with audio controls, a 4-speaker stereo with MP3 capability, a 4.3-inch color multi-function show, and a rear blockage camera are still included on base versions. A body-colored spoiler, scenic sunroof, roof rails, 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, reclining rear chairs, and a 6-speaker audio system are included on premium variants. The CVT transmission and leather seating are standard on Limited variants. Limited Foresters come standard with heated front seats, a power liftgate, fog lights, a rear spoiler, and heated mirrors. Everything from the Limited trim level is included, plus a navigation system, dual-zone automatic temperature control, heated steering rotation, push-button start, and 18-inch wheels.
There are four no-cost color options for the base Forester, down from six last year. The colors in question are Crystal White Pearl, Cascade Green Silica, Horizon Blue Pearl, and Magnetite Gray Metallic. This trim no longer has Ice Silver Metallic or Crystal Black Silica. Still, the Premium, Limited, and Touring do, along with Autumn Green, Brilliant Bronze, Crimson Red Pearl, and Horizon Blue Pearl. Crystal Black, Crystal White, Ice Silver, Magnetite Gray, and Dark Blue Pearl are the only colors available on the Sport model. The new Wilderness largely mirrors the Sport’s options, with the addition of Autumn Green and the replacement of Dark Blue Pearl with Geyser Blue, a color only available on this trim. Sepia Bronze and Jasper Green are two metallics that have been discontinued this year. The two blue tones are our favorites, but the crimson red is also a great choice.
The Forester’s place is one of the roomiest in the packed SUV class, and it’s well-made with high-quality fabrics. It isolates passengers from outer noise, and the new Wilderness trim, with its water-repellent upholstery, is ideal for muddy displays. The Starlink infotainment system is straightforward to master because of its intuitive interface, which makes browsing menus simple. Though the images could be crisper, the touch screen responds adequately to inputs. At the top of the dashboard, a second screen shows information that is different from what the touch screen displays. This may confuse some users at first.
There are five seats in the Forester. Drivers will love Forester’s excellent visibility, and passengers will enjoy the large, quiet cabin. Both rows of seats are big and comfortable, with ample head and legroom. Even if six-footers are in front, 6-footers can sit in the rear. The doors open wide, enabling entering and exiting the vehicle in any row to be simple. Few competitors in its course offer as much cargo room as this Subaru. The standard Forester has a load capacity of 28.8 cubic feet behind the back seats and a maximum of 74.2 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down. These figures are lowered to 26.9 cubic feet and 69.1 cubic feet, respectively, in all subsequent variants.
The Forester is powered by a 2.5-liter flat-4 that sends 182 horsepower to all four wheels through a CVT. The powertrain isn’t very exciting, but it’ll work hard for you if you ignore its noticeable noise. The Forester weighs a little over 3,500 pounds, allowing it to accelerate from a standstill to 60 mph in just eight seconds. You’ll need to move up to an Outback or an Ascent for a more exciting turbocharged performance.
The ride and handling tell a more positive story. The Forester brims with sharp and confident road sense on any surface, even where there is no road. With 8.7 inches of ground clearance, good all-season tires, and an off-road mode on most versions that changes throttle, shift, and hill-descent controls to help extract even more traction, the Forester navigates most obstacles with ease. Wilderness models feature a half-inch of additional ground clearance, improved off-road angles, altered spring and damper tuning, and all-terrain tires, making for a setup that should stand up to the often long slogs along rutted Forest Service roads (or trails) on the way to the most incredible wilderness excursions.
2024 Subaru Forester Price and Release Date
The introductory price of the Forester is $25,195. Automatic climate control, a 6.5-inch touch screen, a four-speaker stereo, satellite radio, HD Radio, USB connections, Bluetooth, CarPlay, and Android Auto, are all included. The Forester Premium has a starting price of $28,195. Hill descent control, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, reclining rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, push-button start, a six-speaker audio system, and a Wi-Fi hot spot are all included in the Premium model. The base MSRP for the Forester Sport is $29,765. All-season tires, blind-spot monitoring, lane change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and an additional USB connection are included in the Sport. The Forester Wilderness is priced at $32,820. A forward-facing off-road camera, all-terrain tires, water-resistant upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, reverse automated emergency braking, and an 8-inch touch screen are all included as standard features. Every other trim level’s towing capacity is doubled with the Wilderness (3,000 pounds compared to 1,500). The Forester Limited has a starting price of $31,875. Leather upholstery and a motorized liftgate are standard on the Limited. Optional features include a heated steering wheel, reverse automated emergency braking, a nine-speaker Harman Kardon radio, and GPS for $1,695. The top-of-the-line Forester Touring is $35,295. The Touring has extra features like a power-adjustable passenger seat, heated rear seats, steering wheel, driver drowsiness monitoring, reverse automatic emergency braking, GPS, and a nine-speaker Harman Kardon radio.
