Subaru 2024 Forester Release Date, Redesign, Colors

Subaru 2024 Forester Release Date, Redesign, ColorsCombining its long track record of dependability and all-wheel drive makes the Subaru Forester a popular choice among compact crossover SUV buyers in the United States. Like its excellent ground clearance and traction in all weather conditions, the 2.5-liter naturally aspirated boxer four is simple to live within traffic, thanks to a continuously variable transmission that makes this a fun and easy-to-drive car. The Toyota RAV4 and Mazda CX-5 are alternative options in the compact crossover SUV sector, but Forester models have been outperforming them for a long time.

Little has changed in one of our most popular family vehicles and a two-time Best Car to Buy winner. The Wilderness is the latest addition to the portfolio, which already comprises the standard, premium, and sport variants. A new grille adorns the revised front end, which comes standard on some models with complimentary automated emergency steering. With a wagon body dressed in fascinating features like brown-butter leather in touring versions and Fila-Esque trim on sport models, the Forester is furnished but effectively.

Design changes for the Subaru in 2024

The exterior appearance of the 2024 Subaru Forester differs from that of the 2021 model. The Wilderness trim level has been added to the selection as well. All-terrain tires, a forward-facing off-road camera, and water-repellent upholstery make this new Forester the most excellent adventuring car. The Wilderness’ towing capacity is also the highest of any Forester model. In addition to the new grille, bumpers, and headlights, the front end of the 2024 model has been changed. There are also new wheel styles. A panoramic sunroof is standard on all grades barring the base model, and gesture controls for the climate control are now available. New LED dome lights (with off-delay) and LED lighting in the cargo area improve the interior lighting of the base trim. The braking system is upgraded with new 12.4-inch front brake discs to the Premium trim and new gloss-black window moldings to the Touring trim.

In contrast to last year, this year’s base Forester is only available in four color options, down from six last year. Crystal White Pearl, Cascade Green Silica, Horizon Blue Pearl, and Magnetite Gray Metallic are the colors in this collection. However, the Premium, Limited, and Touring trims, including Autumn Green, Brilliant Bronze, Crimson Red Pearl, and Horizon Blue Pearl, still have Ice Silver Metallic and Crystal Black Silica options. Only a few colors are ready for the Sport model, including Crystal Black, Crystal White, Ice Silver, Magnetite Gray, and Dark Blue Pearl. The rest of the lineup has a wider variety of options. The new Wilderness is nearly identical to the Sport, save for the addition of Autumn Green and the removal of Dark Blue Pearl. They include Sepia Bronze and Jasper Green, both being phased out entirely. Despite our preference for the two tones of blue, we also like the Crimson Red.

Interior

Thanks to high-quality construction, generous internal space, and high-quality materials, the Subaru Forester SUV’s cabin is pleasant. All the rules are within arm’s reach, and Subaru hasn’t forgotten about aesthetics with its curved and stitched dashboard. The Subaru Forester’s attention to detail and commitment to building a safe crossover is reinforced by its large windows, which provide excellent vision. Even though the Subaru Forester isn’t equipped with the latest and greatest in driver-assist technology, we’re still pleased with what we get for our money.

Overall, the Subaru Forester’s cabin is quite pleasant to be inside of. Leather and soft-touch plastic make up most of the surfaces and the silver embellishments. A small display above the infotainment screen provides fuel economy and range and various infotainment details, which makes this dashboard design one of a kind. The instrument cluster consists of two analog dials and a driver’s display.

Engine

A continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) is still standard on the 2024 Forester’s 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine (CVT). The Forester’s 0-60 mph time was a pitiful 8.5 seconds because of the inclusion of standard all-wheel drive. There’s a lack of power from the four-cylinder engine on the highways, which is disappointing. This is fine if you don’t mind getting where you’re going in a reasonable amount of time. The engine will scream if you put your foot flat on the accelerator, but that doesn’t translate into real-time acceleration.

The SUV’s driving dynamics are laid-back. The steering reaction is only OK; it is hardly anything to get excited about. Because of the windshield and cabin’s sound-damping materials, Subaru claims that wind noise is reduced to a minimum. Subaru’s dampening of the suspension could have been better, but the softness of the setup is appropriate for a family vehicle. The SUV can absorb most of the disturbances when driving on rough roads, but the car bottoms out quickly to large bumps or craters.

Subaru Forester 2024: When and How Much Will It Cost?

The Subaru Forester’s entry-level model costs $25,195, including a $1,125 delivery fee. The Sport starts at $29,765, while the Forester Premium starts at $28,195. The standard MSRP for the Limited trim is $31,895, the new Wilderness is $32,820, and the top touring model is $35,295. A fully-equipped model of this model will cost $38K, which isn’t too bad when you consider how much the base model costs.

Internationally, Subaru unveiled the 2024 Forester (facelift) in June 2023, and in September, the model was launched in the United States. The new 2024 Forester was scheduled to arrive in dealerships in the United States in October 2023, so it should be available.
