New 2024 Subaru Legacy Price, Interior, Changes

New 2024 Subaru Legacy Price, Interior, ChangesThe creator of the Outback SUV, among other things. Subaru as a manufacturer requires no introduction, as it is best known for the Wrx, a rally car that is the primary opponent to the popular Lancer Evo series. This manufacturer has tried its hand at almost every automobile sector, and the Legacy is one of their sedan options. It is powered by a four-cylinder engine known as the Subaru Boxer. There are two engines available: a 2.5L normally aspirated four-cylinder engine and a 2.4L turbocharged four-cylinder engine, both of which appear capable.

The Legacy lacks much of what makes a current Subaru a modern Subaru, except standard AWD. A raised suspension is not available on the brand’s home cars. You won’t find any black plastic wheel-well cladding either. We’ll point you in the direction of the Outback station wagon and the Forester SUV if you’re looking for such qualities.

New 2024 Subaru Legacy Redesign

You’d have difficulty finding a Subaru on a list of automotive aesthetic icons. Evocative design is not a high priority in the Japanese brand’s ideology. To that end, the Legacy is an entirely hidden but uninspiring car. The standard model includes steering-responsive LED lighting, 17-inch black machine-finish alloy wheels, and a single exhaust outlet. Higher trim levels of the Legacy come with a power tilt/slide glass moonroof, LED fog lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, and two exhaust outlets made of stainless steel.

The Honda is the lightest, most extended, and broadest car, in contrast to the Subaru, which is the heaviest, narrowest, and shortest car. However, it is tall and has the shortest wheelbase, making it the better handling car in this comparison. The Hyundai has the most considerable wheelbase and the exact ground clearance as the Legacy, but it has its sweet spot.

Interior

Even though the dimensions don’t show it, the Legacy’s cabin feels far more significant than the previous generation’s, especially in the back. The inside of the Legacy is practical, with well-chosen materials throughout, despite its shabby look. Cloth upholstery is standard, while leather is available on the Limited and Touring variants.

Premium leather upholstery is expected on the Limited and Limited XT trims, while the top-of-the-line Nappa leather upholstery is anticipated on the Touring XT trim. The front seats are heated, snug, and comfy, with plenty of headroom and legroom. The driver’s seat has power adjustment as an option on lesser trims, but it is standard on sport trims and higher. Even when fully loaded, the car feels comfy and spacious.

Engine

A 2.5-liter horizontally opposed four-cylinder engine with 182 horsepower is standard. The 2.4-liter turbocharged engine in the Limited XT and Touring XT versions produces 260 horsepower. A continuously variable automatic transmission is standard on all Legacy models (CVT).

The 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque and comes with a CVT transmission. It not only packs more punch, but it also sounds less strained than the 2.5L. There is some turbo lag to contend with, but the CVT shifts gears fast to compensate for the lack of responsiveness. Just don’t expect an exhilarating ride since the ratio changes in a CVT are smoother than in a manual transmission.
